The following incorporates all amendments made to the Constitution and Bylaws of the Central Texas Classic Chevy Club since its formation on January 9, 1979.
ARTICLE I – NAME
The name of this organization shall be CENTRAL TEXAS CLASSIC CHEVY CLUB.
ARTICLE II – PURPOSE
The purpose of this organization shall be to establish an association of members for the purpose of encouraging restoration and/or preservation of all series and models of 1955, 1956 and 1957 Chevrolets, including Corvettes and Trucks.
ARTICLE III – AFFILIATION
This club shall not be required to be affiliated with any international club or organization, nor will its members be required to belong to any international club or organization. Specific membership of this club to another club or organization shall be submitted to and voted on at a regular meeting of this organization.
ARTICLE IV – MEMBERSHIP
Membership shall be open to persons with a genuine interest in the Classic Chevrolet, ownership not required. Membership dues of $25 per year are no longer prorated. The yearly dues by members will be paid into the Club Treasurer by March 1st of that current year. Any CTCCC member not paying their dues prior to that date will be dropped from the Club roster, email and newsletter lists. When a delinquent paying member pays their dues after March 1st, they will be reinstated. Membership to any other club or organization shall be individually optional. Spouses will be considered members under the one membership dues of his/her spouse, with full membership privileges, i.e. voting, holding office, etc. Any specific local membership requirements shall be submitted to and voted on at a regular meeting of this organization.
ARTICLE V – OFFICERS
The officers of this organization shall consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Activities Director and Historian. Any member in good standing shall be eligible to hold one of the offices. The officers of this organization shall be elected annually by the membership of this organization and they shall server for a period of one (1) year.
Any officer may be removed from office by a three-fourths (3/4) vote of the membership of the organization, in person at a meeting or by written consent.
The President shall be the chief officer of this organization and shall preside at all meetings of its membership. The President shall supervise all affairs of the organization and meetings of its membership.
If the President is unable to carry out his/her duties, the Vice-President shall act as the President of this organization when the office becomes vacant until a meeting of the membership elects a successor. The Vice-President shall head all committees and report of their success.
The Secretary shall record all the proceedings of the organization and shall be empowered to certify jointly with the President as to such proceedings. The Secretary shall also handle all correspondence, maintain an attendance record and be responsible for the newsletter of the organization.
The Treasurer shall have custody of all organization funds and securities and shall keep in books belonging to the organization full and accurate accounts of all receipts and disbursements; he/she shall deposit all monies, securities and other valuable effects in the name of the organization in such depositories as may be designated for that purpose by the membership. He/she shall disburse the funds of the organization as may be directed by the officers and the membership, taking proper vouchers for such disbursements, and shall render to the officers and membership at the regular monthly meetings, and whenever requested by them, an account of all his/her transactions as Treasurer, and of the financial condition of the organization.
The Activities Director shall endeavor (with the aid of members and officers) to organize any and all club functions, such as dinners, shows, picnics. The Activities Director shall enlist the aid of the Vice-President whenever necessary.
The Historian shall compile and keep a record of the activities and achievements of the organization.
ARTICLE VI – RESIGNATION AND EXPULSION
Any member may resign by written notice to the Secretary or Treasurer. His/her resignation shall become effective upon receipt and upon payment of any and all indebtedness due to the organization.
Expulsion and/or other disciplinary measures taken with regard to failure to pay dues, fees, unexcused absences, infraction of the organization’s Rules and regulations and/or other causes shall be determined by the majority of the voting members and after the member(s), under action, shall have been given written notice at his/her last known address of his/her right to submit his/her position to the voting membership.
ARTICLE VII – MEETINGS
The annual meeting of the organization shall be held on the third (3rd) week in October each year for the purpose of nomination of officers, annual reports of officers and committees, and such other business as may come before the meeting. The election of officers is held at the November meeting each year.
The monthly meetings of the organization shall be held on the third (3rd) Thursday of each month.
Special meetings may be called at the discretion of the President and/or the request of five (5) or more members.
A quorum shall be defined as a majority of the total membership of the organization.
ARTICLE VIII – AMENDMENTS TO CONSTITUTION AND BYLAWS
Any member in good standing may propose, by written instrument to the officers of the organization, at any regularly scheduled meeting, any irregularities, changes, additions, deletions, non conformities, amendments and/or corrections that need to be made in or to the Constitution and Bylaws. The written proposal(s) shall then be submitted to the voting membership, if a quorum exists, for a vote on consideration by the entire voting membership. If said proposal passes by a plurality of the votes cast, after discussion, said proposal(s) shall then be submitted to the entire membership.

This Amended and Restated Constitution and Bylaws was approved and adopted by a majority vote of the membership of this organization, present or by written consent, at a meeting held on the 20th day of November, 1991.
Amendments regarding Article III, Affiliation and Article IV, Membership, were approved at the December 1992 meeting.
Amendments regarding Article IV, Membership, and Article VII, Meetings, were approved at the January 1998 meeting.
Amendments regarding Article IV, Membership, were approved by members at the June 18th meeting of 2009.
Amendment regarding Article IV, Membership dues were approved for change by members at February 21, 2013 meeting.
